Gilbert Thomas Domally - who you may have seen as a young Louis Armstrong this past season in MAGIC TREEHOUSE was named one of the hot faces in theatre for 2016! Congrats, Gilbert!

"Born and raised in Miami, the actor-dancer Domally graduated last spring from Roosevelt University but has already hooked himself up as Seaweed in "Hairspray" at the Paramount Theatre, and impressed greatly as C.C. in Porchlight Music Theatre's "Dreamgirls." The work of this 23-year-old is notable for its definition and vivacity, sure, but also for its kindness and vulnerability. "I'm still working on bettering my craft," he says. Smart guy. But he's already formidable.

Currently playing Gabe in "Next to Normal" at BoHo Theatre.

Dear friends:

It is with deep sadness we share the news that we lost Judy Fabjance this weekend, our longtime teaching artist at Emerald City Theatre. Over the last ten years, Judy kindly nurtured our young students with inspiration, acceptance, and fun. On any given day, Judy was a pirate, a mermaid, a knight, a princess, and above all a SUPERHERO! Our families and staff have been honored to grow with her, learn from her, and be mentored by her. Our loving thoughts go out to her wife Kelly, daughter Daphne, family and friends. A celebration will be held at The Second City on Wednesday at 11am, and we hope to see you there. Follow the link below for a spot.
