After School Programs

Emerald City Theatre brings world-class teaching professionals to your classroom for exercises in acting, singing, and dancing after the bell rings. We offer a wide array of after-school drama classes for all age levels with exciting new themes each session. Our weekly programs focus on team-building, communication and listening skills, storytelling techniques, and self-esteem strengthening. Your students will have fun while learning through play!

Peter Pan iconUp, up, and away! Students will go on a high-flying adventure through the skies above London to Peter Pan’s Neverland home where they’ll create their own scenes based on Barrie’s original book, recent movies inspired by the story, and the famous stage musical. Students will get a chance to act out their favorite characters such as the Lost Boys, pirates, mermaids, fairies, and of course, the Darling children. At the same time, students will explore movement, improvisation, storytelling, dancing, and singing with Emerald City Theatre’s professional teaching artist to create a magical final show.

A Year at Hogwarts

Go on an enchanted journey to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Based on the beloved Harry Potter novels by J.K. Rowling, students will study potions, care for fantastic creatures, and come together to create a story about young wizards experiencing their first year of school. Do you believe in magic? This final show is sure to leave audiences spellbound.

Join Laurens, Lafayette, Mulligan, and Hamilton in the revolution that made America the country it is today. Our Hamilton-inspired class will challenge students’ rhythm and storytelling skills while teaching about the founding of the country through contemporary rap, hip-hop, R&B, and pop muisc. the final show on the last day of class is not to be missed!
