Age Ranges

Ages 3.5 – 5

This class is an exploration of creative play for our youngest students! In every 45-minute session, teaching artists lead students in exercises and games that utilize and engage the actor’s tools: the body, the voice, and the mind. Imagination roams free as students listen to stories and participate in theatrical games related to the class theme. At the end of each session, the students and teaching artists will present all they have learned in a final showcase for an audience of family and friends.

Ages 5 – 8

If your child is a budding young actor, this offering is the perfect introduction to rehearsing and performing! Our teaching artists focus on actor tools and performance fundamentals while making time for imaginative theater games. Every student will be given a specific role in the class show and will be challenged with music, basic choreography, and line memorization to take their performance to the next level. At the end of each session, the students and their teaching artists will perform a final show for an audience of family and friends.

Ages 7 – 12

This class focuses on developing the acting skills of young performers. Our teaching artists foster ensemble building skills while developing individual acting technique and theatrical vocabulary. Each student will audition for roles in the final show and take time to develop a specific character. Students are given detailed scripts with music and choreography to learn during their rehearsal process. At the end of each session, students will perform their show in a theatrical space for an audience of family and friends!

Ages 9 – 13

Students will strengthen performance skills while rehearsing more advanced scripts. Teaching artists reinforce acting fundamentals while strengthening the ensemble as they work toward their final performance! Students will audition for roles and work as an ensemble to tackle exciting music and choreography. At the end of each session, students will perform their show in a theatrical space for an audience of family and friends.

Advanced Ensemble: Ages 7 – 13

This ensemble meets twice a week for an experience that truly resembles a professional rehearsal process. Students audition for roles in the show and teaching artists challenge students with personal goals to enhance their growth as performers. At the end of each session, advanced ensemble students will perform on a professional stage for an audience of their family and friends.  This class is intended for students with past theatrical experience who want to take their rehearsal and performance skills to the next level. Admission into this class is by approval only. Please fill out an application online and you will be notified if approved.
