After School Programs

Emerald City Theatre brings world-class teaching professionals to your classroom for exercises in acting, singing, and dancing after the bell rings. We offer a wide array of after-school drama classes for all age levels with exciting new themes each session. Our weekly programs focus on team-building, communication and listening skills, storytelling techniques, and self-esteem strengthening. Your students will have fun while learning through play!

Miguel Rivera has dreams of becoming a musician, but his family has banned music for generations. Students will journey to the Land of the Dead on a mission to uncover the Rivera’s family history. With foot-tapping music and a heartwarming story, Coco’s final show will be sure to set the audience’s hearts singing!

Leapin’ Lizards! Annie, Miss Hannigan, Rooster, and more will be singing and dancing their way to Easy Street in this musical adventure class. From scrubbing the floors to shine like the top of the Chrysler Building to Daddy Warbuck’s fancy mansion, students will explore the world of their favorite spunky heroine along with her loyal sidekick dog, Sandy. Songs from the hit musical include “It’s A Hard Knock Life”, “The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow”, “Little Girls”, and more! Work directly with our Emerald City professionals for a one of a kind theatrical experience. The ensemble will present their show on the last day of class! Remember, you’re never fully dressed without a smile!

Join George and the Man in the Yellow Hat on their adventures throughout the city and through your student’s imagination!  Students will explore their own curiosity and use their bodies, voices, and imaginations. On the last day of class, students will share what they’ve learned in a final show even George would approve of!

Based on the New York Times best-selling book, this class is full of spice and pizzazz! Students will find out exactly what happens when you invite some dragons over for a taco party (hint: no spicy salsa!) and will work together to create their own tale of caution and celebration. Family and friends can join in on the fun during the final presentation on the last day of class.

Fairy tales don’t end at happily ever after.  When kids of infamous fairy tale villains are offered the chance to live in the United States of Auradon, they leap at the chance. But are their motives good or evil? Students will explore complex characters from this smash hit, along with vocal techniques, acting exercises, and theater vocabulary, to create a final show that examines the choices we all have between good and evil.
