Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
(No camp Thursday, July 4th.)

Cost:

Junior Youth Ensemble camps are $750 per session. ($675 for camps during the July 4th week.)

Aftercare

Emerald City Theatre offers aftercare at our Hawthorne Scholastic Academy location for this age group. 

  • Aftercare hours are 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Parents may pick up their campers at any time.
  • Aftercare cost is $250 per session. No daily rate is available for aftercare.
  • Parents arriving after 6:00 PM will be charged $1 per minute per child.

Due to popular demand, we are EXPANDING our Lakeview location and introducing our Junior Youth Ensemble! 

  • Designed for the theatrically ambitious kid who needs a bridge to a professional rehearsal environment! 
  • Instructors will balance theater fundamentals with challenging choreography and music. 
  • Great preparation for our Advanced Camps and Classes
  • Performance on a stage at the end of the session!

June 25-July 5

Junior Youth Ensemble: Hamilton


Camp Description:

Join Laurens, Lafayette, Mulligan, and Hamilton in the revolution that made America the country it is today. Our Hamilton-inspired camp will challenge students’ rhythm and storytelling skills while teaching about the founding of the country through contemporary rap, hip-hop, R&B, and pop music. This final show for family and friends on the last day of class is not to be missed!

July 8-July 19

Junior Youth Ensemble: Character Cabaret


Camp Description:

Using songs from favorite animated classics like Colors of the Wind and Once Upon a Dream with contemporary hits like Everything is Awesome and How Far I’ll Go campers will learn to create characters! Campers will focus on acting and singing technique to work together toward a final Broadway-style revue. The final showcase will feature each camper and everyone will leave humming new and old favorites!

Junior Youth Ensemble: Descendants


Camp Description:

Fairy tales don’t end at happily ever after. When kids of infamous fairy tale villains are offered the chance to live in the United States of Auradon, they leap at the chance. But are their motives good or evil? Campers will explore complex characters to create a Spring Break camp final show that examines the choices we all have between good and evil.

August 5-August 16

Junior Youth Ensemble: Best of Broadway


Camp Description:

Combining some of Broadway’s biggest hits from classics like Newsies, Into the Woods, and Sound of Music to contemporary smash hits like Hamilton, Wicked, and Dear Evan Hansen and more! Campers will focus on the finer details of performing musical theatre with an emphasis on dancing and vocal technique, to hone their skills and challenge them as performers. The final showcase will feature a number of Broadway hits, connected with characters created by the students. This camp is for the Broadway expert who’s looking see their name in lights!

Junior Ensemble: Pitch Perfect


Camp Description:

Join a world of musical harmony to fight your way to the top of the acapella world! In this group of musical misfits, there are all types of singers and many unforgettable roles to play. What these lovable characters all have in common is how ACA-mazing they sound when vocalizing together! Campers will sing popular tunes from the feature film like “Don’t Stop the Music” and the unforgettable tune “Cups” while working on vocal techniques, choreography, and scene study to create a story of musical victory and friendship in an acapella world. All campers will rock out during their harmonious final show on the last day of camp.

Junior Youth Ensemble: Wicked


Camp Description:

Take a trip to the Emerald City with Elphaba, Glinda, and Fiyero. A smash-hit musical prequel to The Wizard of Oz, Wicked will take students to the next level in their performance skills with fantastic music, dance, and a story of being true to yourself. Learn what makes the Wicked Witch wicked, and the Good Witch good. Campers are sure to defy gravity and stun family and friends during this spellbinding final show.

Policies

Cancelation Policy

Emerald City Theatre has the right to cancel a camp up to one week prior to the start date. Refunds will be processed if a camp is canceled.  

No refunds available if purchaser drops a camp unless the spot can be filled from a waitlist. If a spot can be filled, a refund will be given after the deduction of a $25 administrative fee. 

Emerald City Theatre has the right to determine minimum enrollment. A refund will not be given if purchaser believes the enrollment is low. 

Switching of days/titles of a camp will incur a $25 administrative fee. 

Camp enrollment is only valid toward the season enrolled and cannot be applied to a camp in a later season. 

Nut Policy

Emerald City Theatre’s classes and camps are NUT-FREE environments. This includes, but is not limited to, peanuts and tree nuts, including almonds and cashews. There is a strict no-sharing policy at all of our campuses.

Drop-off/Pick-up Policy

Drop-off begins 15 minutes prior to the start of camp or class. An ID MUST BE PRESENTED at pick-up in order to sign out a child. Children must be picked up no later than 15 minutes after camp or class ends. After the 15-minute pickup window closes, a late fee of $1/per minute per child will be charged and due upon arrival.
