Our most advanced ensembles will work with professional scripts in a state of the art space to rehearse and present multiple performances of a staged production with heightened designed elements.

Duration: Camps for ages 10-15 are 3 weeks long per session.
Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Performances on the last Friday of Camp at 4:00pm and 6:30pm, and Saturday 1:00pm and 3:30pm

Cost: $1500/session

What To Expect

What To Expect At Camp

FOCUS: Young artists build upon previous theater experiences and skills — actor’s tools, character development, musical theatre technique — to create a musical theater production.
  • Skills: Actors will audition for specific roles and learn lines, complex music and choreography, and be challenged to create real characters for a final show on a professional stage.
  • This Camp is for: The artist who has participated in at least one script-based class or camp and wants a more robust theatrical experience. No application required.
  • Performance: Join us for four performances in a beautiful state of the art venue.

Advanced Ensemble: Into the Woods, JR.


Camp Description:

Campers will brave the woods as classic Grimm’s fairytale characters—Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk), a Witch, and many more. Campers will learn challenging music by Stephen Sondheim and focus on acting techniques, dance for musical theater, and the process of creating a pre-professional production. Join us in a beautiful new venue as campers discover that ever after is only the beginning.
Performances Friday, July 31 at 4:00pm and 6:30pm and Saturday, August 1 at 1:00pm and 3:30pm

August 3-August 21

Advanced Ensemble: We Will Rock You – Young@Part


Camp Description:

Join us for a camp that is a fist-pumping, foot-stomping anthem to individuality. Featuring many hit Queen songs, We Will Rock You follows young rebels as they try to restore Rock ‘n’ Roll. Campers will focus on modern musical theater singing, dancing, and acting with an emphasis on creating characters and working as an ensemble to tell a story. Campers will rehearse in a brand new venue and perform on a professional stage for family and friends at the end of camp.
Performances Friday, August 21 at 4:00pm and 6:30pm and Saturday, August 22 at 1:00pm and 3:30pm

Policies

Cancellation Policy

Emerald City Theatre has the right to cancel a camp up to one week prior to the start date. Refunds will be processed if a camp is canceled.  


No refunds available if purchaser drops a camp unless the spot can be filled from a waitlist. If a spot can be filled, a refund will be given after the deduction of a $25 administrative fee. 


Emerald City Theatre has the right to determine minimum enrollment. A refund will not be given if purchaser believes the enrollment is low. 


Switching of days/titles of a camp will incur a $25 administrative fee. 


Camp enrollment is only valid toward the season enrolled and cannot be applied to a camp in a later season. 

Nut Policy

Emerald City Theatre’s classes and camps are NUT-FREE environments. This includes, but is not limited to, peanuts and tree nuts, including almonds and cashews. There is a strict no-sharing policy at all of our campuses.

Drop-off/Pick-up Policy

Drop-off begins 15 minutes prior to the start of camp or class. An ID MUST BE PRESENTED at pick-up in order to sign out a child. Children must be picked up no later than 15 minutes after camp or class ends. After the 15-minute pickup window closes, a late fee of $1/per minute per child will be charged and due upon arrival.
