What To Expect

What To Expect At Camp

FOCUS: Building new stories with an emphasis on embodying and creating characters.  
  • Skills: Campers learn about character creation and working as an ensemble as well as lines, choreography, and music within our theme-based camps that integrate musical favorites.
  • This Camp is for: The young artist who wants to develop confidence and collaboration skills.
  • Showcase: On the last day of camp, join us for a 30-minute showcase of original characters and stories!

Tall Tales and Legends


Camp Description:

Inspired by Mount Olympus to Johnnie Appleseed, students will create their own myths and fables and sing and dance their way through a camp fit for a demigod!

Camp Description:

Do you believe in magic? Hop on your broomstick and join us for an enchanted journey to cast spells, brew potions, and tame magical creatures!

Rockin’ Sock Hop


Camp Description:

This jumpin’ musical theatre camp will transport students to the past with songs and choreography from doo-wop classics! Join us for a camp that’s sure to be the bee’s knees.

Fairytale Mashup


Camp Description:

Sing and dance your way through enchanted forests where dragons roam and royalty rules. Campers will create their own characters for a final performance that ends happily ever after.

Acapella Sensation


Camp Description:

Welcome to the world of acapella! Students will rock out to popular tunes while singing and dancing to tell a tale of triumph through teamwork!

Policies

Cancellation Policy

Emerald City Theatre has the right to cancel a camp up to one week prior to the start date. Refunds will be processed if a camp is canceled.  


No refunds available if purchaser drops a camp unless the spot can be filled from a waitlist. If a spot can be filled, a refund will be given after the deduction of a $25 administrative fee. 


Emerald City Theatre has the right to determine minimum enrollment. A refund will not be given if purchaser believes the enrollment is low. 


Switching of days/titles of a camp will incur a $25 administrative fee. 


Camp enrollment is only valid toward the season enrolled and cannot be applied to a camp in a later season. 

Nut Policy

Emerald City Theatre’s classes and camps are NUT-FREE environments. This includes, but is not limited to, peanuts and tree nuts, including almonds and cashews. There is a strict no-sharing policy at all of our campuses.

Drop-off/Pick-up Policy

Drop-off begins 15 minutes prior to the start of camp or class. An ID MUST BE PRESENTED at pick-up in order to sign out a child. Children must be picked up no later than 15 minutes after camp or class ends. After the 15-minute pickup window closes, a late fee of $1/per minute per child will be charged and due upon arrival.
