Young artists will grow by focusing on their singing, dancing, and acting and then working with scripted material to hone the fundamentals of musical theater. Join us for exciting camps that pair honing our musical theater chops with performing fun, exciting material on the stage!

Duration: Camps for ages 9-13 are 2 weeks long per session. Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

What To Expect

What To Expect At Camp

FOCUS: Learning foundational theater and musical theater skills and applying those skills to full scripts.
  • Skills: Campers will hone their musical theater and acting skills through lines, choreography, and music —both classic and modern. Campers will receive feedback to grow as individuals and as an ensemble.
  • This Camp is for: The theater lover who wants to spend the summer singing, dancing, and meeting new friends.
  • Performance: On the last day of camp, family and friends are encouraged to join us for a 40-minute showcase of showcase of songs, scenes, and choreography prepared by our campers!

Triple Threat Bootcamp: Broadway Classics

Camp Description:

Calling all musical theater lovers! Join us for a camp focused on acting, singing, and dancing techniques. Campers will work to hone these skills while singing and dancing classics from the great white way!

Musical Theatre 101: Fairytale Musicals

Camp Description:

Campers with huge imaginations and a constant song in their heads will love this camp focusing on all the basics of musical theater. This camp focuses on acting, singing and dancing to tell stories and builds a foundation for our production camp of Shrek the following session.

Youth Ensemble: Shrek the Musical TYA

Camp Description:

Campers will create fantastical characters and learn fresh, fun songs from this smash hit musical. With a focus on acting technique, music, and choreography, this camp is an ogre-sized good time!

July 27-August 7

Musical Theatre Acting: Character Study

Camp Description:

Campers that want to hone their skills of telling stories and acting through song will love this in-depth character study. This camp focuses on acting technique and builds a foundation for our production camp the following session.

August 10-August 21

Youth Ensemble: The Addams Family A New Musical

Camp Description:

Campers will embody this wacky, dark family and get caught up in all the mayhem in this modern classic. We will study music, acting, and dance techniques for modern musical theater experience.

Cancellation Policy

Emerald City Theatre has the right to cancel a camp up to one week prior to the start date. Refunds will be processed if a camp is canceled.  

No refunds available if purchaser drops a camp unless the spot can be filled from a waitlist. If a spot can be filled, a refund will be given after the deduction of a $25 administrative fee. 

Emerald City Theatre has the right to determine minimum enrollment. A refund will not be given if purchaser believes the enrollment is low. 

Switching of days/titles of a camp will incur a $25 administrative fee. 

Camp enrollment is only valid toward the season enrolled and cannot be applied to a camp in a later season. 

Nut Policy

Emerald City Theatre’s classes and camps are NUT-FREE environments. This includes, but is not limited to, peanuts and tree nuts, including almonds and cashews. There is a strict no-sharing policy at all of our campuses.

Drop-off/Pick-up Policy

Drop-off begins 15 minutes prior to the start of camp or class. An ID MUST BE PRESENTED at pick-up in order to sign out a child. Children must be picked up no later than 15 minutes after camp or class ends. After the 15-minute pickup window closes, a late fee of $1/per minute per child will be charged and due upon arrival.
